Don't just take our word for why you should come along to our first Womens session. Hattie Ruth wanted to tell you all a little about her Judo journey.
“For me, coming into judo as a total beginner with no martial arts experience was a really daunting thought, especially being short and not particularly athletic. After a hearing a lot of recommendations about Chichester Ronin I decided to give it a go, determined that I’d try a few classes then give it up if it got too overwhelming. From my first session at the club I have felt so welcome and encouraged to give it a go by everyone, especially our coaches.
Four months later, I look forward to the sessions, I feel safe and comfortable with all the techniques explained at my pace, then randori sessions to try out what I’ve learned. With the help of everyone at the club, my confidence has improved massively, I have recently earned my 6th Kyu (red belt) and I feel like I have made real progress. Judo isn’t just a sport for strong martial artists, it’s a sport that can teach a lot about mental strength and resilience, and I’m only on the first step of the ladder. if you are thinking of giving it a go, I would definitely recommend coming down to Chichester Ronin, there’s something there for everyone.”
So come along and give it a go on Monday 22nd May at 19:30 for our Inaugural Womens only session! And don't forget Judo is on tonight as normal at 19:30 down the new Dojo, @newparkcentre .
